BENEDICT ARNOLD has had enough.
After years of perceived slights, the anxious American general corresponds with the debonair British spy, JOHN ANDRE, promising to abandon his post and switch sides.
As part of his treason, Arnold pledges to the Brits he’ll deliver hundreds of men, the keys to West Point, and the capture of his best friend, GEORGE WASHINGTON. Paired with Arnold’s military acumen, these terms should guarantee a British victory.
Or they would…
But when the insecure general learns that John Andre used to sleep with his wife, the 19 year-old socialite, PEGGY SHIPPEN, Benedict loses all control. Suddenly, in one fell swoop, Arnold sabotages the traitorous plans and, in turn, himself.
It all culminates in a humiliating fallout, and a tense stand-off between Benedict Arnold and the society he’s helped form.
